Picking the right earpads can be a challange, so on this page, we explain different earpad behavior on our headphones.



OUR TOP PICKSheepskin

Sheepskin earpads offer the most neutral sound and speaker-like presentation the Lyre is known for.

Velour

Velour earpads offer brighter treble peaks with a small bass bump and a small rolloff at <60 Hz.

Fenestrated Leather

Fenestrated Leather earpads have a V shaped sound with stronger treble peaks above 6kHz and a steep bass rolloff.

The perforated sheepskin earpads offer the natural-warm sound of the Ember with a large and spacious feeling.

The velour earpads offer a warm, dark sound with a dip in the ear gain (low-mid treble area).

L cushions have the most neutral sound with no part of the treble overboosted. They have a bass rolloff.

Dekoni velour/leather hybrid pads have a warm, dark treble with boosted mid-high bass and a subbass rolloff.

S cushions offer a slightly brighter, but still neutral sound with a large soundstage and a bass rolloff.

G cushions are the brightest in treble. They have the biggest soundstage, but a very steep bass rolloff.
